How to make gravy / Paul Kelly.
Kelly, Paul, 1955-
Camberwell, Vic. : Penguin, 2010.
Summary: This extraordinary book has its genesis in a series of concerts first staged in 2004. Over four nights Paul Kelly performed, in alphabetical order, one hundred of his songs from the previous three decades. In between songs he told stories about them, and from those little tales grew How to Make Gravy, a memoir like no other.

Open Access Week at Greensborough Library

Celebrate Open Access Week at NMIT's Greensborough Library!

When? Wednesday 20 October, 12-2pm.
Where? NMIT Library, Greensborough

From October 18 to 24, libraries at higher education institutions around the world are hosting a rolling series of events, talks, film and webcasts to celebrate international Open Access Week.

On October 20, come to NMIT Greensborough's campus library for an informal gathering and information session on open access and how it is transforming the way research and scientific inquiry are conducted.

Organised in collaboration with faculty and students from the Bachelor of Writing and Publishing, the programme includes showings of 'Steal This Film' by the League of Noble Peers; webcasts by Peter Suber (SPARC, Public Knowledge), Jean-Claude Guédon (University of Montreal, Open Humanities Press) and Lawrence Lessig (Creative Commons); and streaming video of events from the more than 71 universities that are marking international Open Access Week this year.

Open Access means "putting peer-reviewed scientific and scholarly literature on the internet. Making it available free of charge and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. Removing the barriers to serious research" – Peter Suber
